Wills and Kate stood in a paparazzi lightstorm and shewed off Diana's Windsor sapphire. That was this week. Assuming Diana wasn't assassinated back in 1997 by MI6 or the Mafia in a Paris underpass, Kate will likely be murdered by paparazzi before May. Mixed feelings about that. As a democrat, I generally approve of chopping blocks for royals, but one wonders what this Middleton kid has done to deserve strangling on her Sloan salute. The frenzy in the U.K. is well under way already, with piles of invective heaped on the couple for desecrating Her Mum-in-Law's gaudy bits. Can Buckingham Palace withstand the zombie terror of Diana, staggering back from the beautiful dead?
