More pieces means more ways to fall apart. Even the IDEs find amusing ways to blow up on tiny details — Aptana RadRails or NetBeans IDE 6.7.1 with Ruby.
Of course, NetBeans is a product of Sun Microsystems, so they have “preferences” when it comes to what servers you use... (And no, no mongrel clusters, just WEB bricks.)I'm sticking with good ol' gedit for the time being, but GVim has a ruby mode that seems pretty good, too.
